In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the formal release, "A strange encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine sect.
The adventure centers on "peculiar tests and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana alongside multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
